Terms of service
These terms apply to your use of mapcommand.com.au and any purchase you make from us. By using this website or placing an order, you agree to them.
About us
MapCommand is operated by [your legal business name] (ABN [your ABN]), Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. You can contact us at info@mapcommand.com.au.
Products and compatibility
MapCommand is a Bluetooth handlebar remote that controls map and navigation apps on your phone. Some apps work with MapCommand straight away; others need a one-time setup on your phone, as described in our setup guides and on our Works with page.
Map apps and phone operating systems are made by other companies and can change at any time. While we test and list compatible apps in good faith, we can't guarantee that a third-party app or phone update will continue to work with MapCommand in the same way. If something stops working, contact us and we'll do our best to help.
Product photos are for illustration. Each MapCommand is 3D printed and finished by hand, so colour and surface finish may vary slightly.
Batch #1 pre-orders
Batch #1 is a limited pre-order run. When you reserve a MapCommand, you pay the full price at checkout and your order is dispatched on the date shown on the product page (currently 15 November 2026).
If the dispatch date changes, we'll email you with the new date. You can cancel your pre-order for a full refund at any time before it is dispatched.
If we're unable to fulfil your order, we'll let you know and refund you in full.
Prices and payment
All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable. Shipping costs are shown at checkout. We may change prices at any time, but changes won't affect orders you've already placed.
Payment is taken at checkout through our secure payment providers. We don't store your full card details.
Orders
Your order is accepted when we send you an order confirmation email. We may refuse or cancel an order if a product is unavailable, if there is an obvious pricing error, or if we suspect fraud. If we cancel, we'll refund you in full.
Shipping, returns and warranty
Shipping is covered in our Shipping policy, and returns and refunds in our Refund policy. MapCommand comes with a 12-month replacement warranty, as set out in our Refund policy.
Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Safe and legal use
MapCommand is designed to help you keep your hands on the handlebars and your eyes on the road. You are responsible for:
- installing MapCommand securely, so it doesn't interfere with your controls, steering, switches or cables;
- using it only when it is safe to do so, and following all road rules and laws that apply to you, including rules about using phones and navigation devices while riding;
- checking your installation regularly and before each ride.
Always keep your attention on the road. Only make adjustments when it is safe.
Firmware and setup guides
We may release firmware updates and update our setup guides from time to time to add features, fix problems or support more apps. Installing updates is optional, and you should follow the instructions provided.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, including the Australian Consumer Law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of our website or products, or for problems caused by third-party apps, phones, mounts or your vehicle. Where our liability for a failure to meet a consumer guarantee can be limited, it is limited to repairing or replacing the goods, or paying the cost of doing so.
