Press a button, watch the map
This is what your phone does when you press MapCommand's buttons in the Navigation profile. Press the buttons on the MapCommand below, hold one to keep going, or use your keyboard's arrow, + and − keys.
The demo shows the Navigation profile. How far each press pans or zooms is set by your map app, so your app may move in bigger or smaller steps.
Bolt on. Pair once. Ride.
MapCommand is a Bluetooth remote with eight buttons, built for a handlebar. Pair it with your phone like any Bluetooth accessory, and your map app responds to the buttons.
Mount it
Clamp the bracket to the 22 mm bar next to your controls and bolt MapCommand on with two M4 bolts. Add a 4, 9 or 14 mm spacer if your switch cluster needs more clearance.
Power it
Plug MapCommand's attached USB lead into your bike's 5 V USB socket. MapCommand starts when the bike does and shows its profile with slow green flashes.
Pair it
Open Bluetooth on your phone and pick "MapCommand". It reconnects on its own every time after that.
Set up your phone
Android: install the free MapCommand app, set up in about 2 minutes and test your buttons. iPhone: a one-time setup of about 15 minutes with our step-by-step guide. Both are emailed after purchase.
Ride
Zoom, pan and recentre with your thumb. Hold a button to repeat, and long-press for the extra function.
Status light
The green light next to the buttons tells you what MapCommand is doing.
Four profiles, one remote
Switch profiles at the roadside: hold B7 and B2 together for 3 seconds until the light flashes twice, press B8 once for profile 1 up to four times for profile 4, then wait 2 seconds. MapCommand remembers your choice.
Navigation
Zoom, pan, north-up and recentre. The default for map apps.
Roadbook
For rally roadbook apps: scroll the roadbook and adjust the trip meter.
Navigation +
Map control on a press, plus extra functions on a long press.
Custom
For apps that let you choose what each button does.
